تمكنت قوات العمل الخاص وقوات الاحتياطي المركزي من ضبط خلية تضم سودانيين وأجانب تتبع للمليشيا بحوزتهم ماكينات طباعة حديثة لتزوير العملة.
كما ضبطت عملات أجنبية وخام جاهز للطباعة ، وهو ما يفسر رفض المليشيا وداعميها لتغيير العملة الذي نفذته الدولة – منطقة سوبا شرق – مرابيع الشريف بحسب توضيح صحفي للجيش.
